Daily Reddit flow for an indie dev¶
Total: ~15 min a day + 30 min for the weekly post + 30 min once a month. The why: docs/01-strategy.md.
Every day (≈15 min)¶
| When | Minutes | Do | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Morning or lunch | 5 | Check F5Bot alerts + your 3–5 subreddits sorted by new (04-finding-threads.md) | 2–3 threads in the tracker |
| Right after | 10 | Answer them (05-comment-playbook.md, or /social-reddit reply) |
2–3 answers, product mentioned in at most 1 of 10 |
| Evening | 2 | Reply to anyone who answered you | Conversations alive |
Once a week (≈30 min, from week 3)¶
- Pick one subreddit you haven't posted in this month, and one variant it allows.
- Write it against that subreddit's page in docs/subreddits
(
/social-reddit post ), save it as a post file. - Post when the subreddit is awake, then stay for the first hour and answer every comment.
- Sunday (10 min): fill weekly numbers; apply the stop rules.
Once a month (≈30 min)¶
- Re-check the rules of every subreddit you'll post in next month; refresh any wiki page older than 60 days with the rules script.
- Pin your best post of the month on your profile; check the social links still work logged out.
- Drop a subreddit that brought nothing for 2 months; add one from research-where-users-ask.
